HOW GLAZING WORKS WITH THESE MARKERS
These brushes are designed to be applied in Multiply mode, which replicates the way real alcohol markers deepen in value when strokes overlap.
Each additional pass builds transparency and deepens color the way a second coat of marker would over the first. To push a value darker or enrich a flat area — add a new layer in Multiply mode and stroke over the area again. The value accumulates naturally and predictably.
This is not a workaround. It is the correct technique, and it mirrors exactly how real marker rendering works. Working in layers gives you full control over value depth without losing the clean, flat quality that makes markers the right tool for design thinking.
BARREL ROTATION — BUILT FOR ARTISTS WITH COMPATIBLE STYLUSES
Direction, tilt, and rotation — labeled brushes explained
Some brushes in this pack are labeled. Here is what each label means.
DIRECTION — the brush tip follows the path of your stroke automatically. Use these when you want the tool to orient itself as you draw.
TILT — responds to how you angle your pen against the surface. Use these if your stylus supports tilt sensitivity — the standard Apple Pencil and most modern styluses qualify.
ROTATION — responds to how you physically rotate your pen in your hand, the way a real brush changes character as you turn it. Use these if your stylus supports barrel rotation — Apple Pencil Pro and equivalent pens.
All other brushes in the pack function as normal drawing and painting tools. Pick them up and paint. No special hardware, no settings to configure.
Not sure which labeled brushes to use? TILT works for most artists. If you have barrel rotation support, try ROTATION for the most traditional feel.
